Wow.

So ... that just happened. This story is all consuming and I can honestly say I could not stop reading till I got to the end. There are so many complex layers to the story as well as the characters. I think that these are by far the most interesting, complex and complicated characters Tate has ever written. I honestly have no clue what is going on or what people’s motives are. The ending completely blew me away as I did not see that coming at all. That’s the writing of a true genius in my o Wow.

I read so much that it takes a lot to take me by surprise so when it happens I’m truly excited and want to shout about that book to everyone who will listen. This book definitely fits into that category. The ending is like “wow” but I wouldn’t say it’s a cliffhanger of all cliffhangers. So no fear that it will ruin you... only slightly. 🤣😬

I’m glad to find out that there will be 4 books in this series because I still felt that there were so many things that we are unsure of yet and do not know. Especially after that last sentence of the book. Madison Kate has been through a lot. There is so much trauma that she is trying to figure out and work through all the while trying to survive her current trauma of her life. Who the heck is stalking her? I don’t trust Bree and Dallas. There is something else going on there.

Steele and Kody. I don’t even know where to start with them. They are trying to be there for her but also loyal to their friendship with Archer. They are solid. They are caring. They are sexy with amazing chemistry. I love their dynamic. Their scenes are hot.

Archer. I don’t even know where to start with him. I just don’t even know with him. He is holding back. He is pushing her away. He obviously has strong feelings for her but I don’t understand his behaviors. There are a lot of layers to him and so many unknowns. What is his history? what is his deal with his brother? Why why why did he do what he did?

Definitely need the next book like I need air. This series is turning out to be one of the best. These characters are not perfect but they are real. They feel and they hurt and I want to be part of that journey. ...more
