Love this series so far.
Defs a 4 star quality book
However i rste on my personal enjoyment which while i did enjoy it it had way too much dark date rape stalked kidnapping violating of all sorts ptsd past child sexual abuse sexual assault history all around like every females worst nightmare and while it was worse at the start of the book due to backstory and introductions etc it was a consistent trauma of girl who cant be touched abuse victim which while done well in regards to seriousness and Love this series so far.

That being said.

I loved it and that should dhoe you hoe much good there was outside of the gross creepy shit. It has a lot to do with how well all of it was written and the amazing characters and how they reacted to said dark stuff which was phenomonal once we got over the shitty cicumstances opening chapters which idk might have been good if thats the darkest this series ill go to get it out of the way first dince books usually dtart light and trick you and then like book 3 or so will go super dark and angsty drama and stuff so while it nearly stopped me from continuing the book it got quickly very good and lighter and there was humour and strength and happy stuff and you felt emotionally connected to basically everyone and even though there was no real downtime in the book it didnt feel rushed or action packed or lacking depth like this book was SO well balanced that genuinely unless youre going to be bdly triggered and not just in the every female and decent person would be at least slightly bleh about the triggers then you have to read it. I think it would be healing too. The way the mental issues and traumas are being handled is so superb that it feels healing to me and while i do have ptsd and other mostly controlled issues that arent fond of the darkness its more healing than anything else to see it expressed so well and played out do naturally and not like this major all consuming thing in the story while also dtill being major for nora shes not letting it completely take over or dictate her choices and i love that. Like yes that is a thing and theres no shame in that but its often portrayed as like a villian awakening story or like the be all end all for added drama or to show how special the love interests are when they magically make it go away or something dumb but this wow like it truly amazes me that its like so real like im impressed af.
It wasnt dark for the sake of being dark and it wasnt drama to like excite a shitty story but like this was all good even in the not so nice aspects. So yeah yay book fingers crossed it doesnt get darker cause no matter how well written i cant handle that shit.
