I know this author is Dutch, so maybe it’s her translator that needs to be fired? The story premise, as I said with the last book, is a good one. The writing just needs to be improved. It felt like something a teenager would write. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that other than it comes across as immature.

This book gets 2 stars because it is in desperate need of a copy editor in addition to the actual writing improvement. If she does a rewrite in the future, I will definitely give it a ...more

Heart stopping

We get a bit of everything in this book. Isa is becoming the strong Queen she is meant to be. Her guys are meshing well. We get a quest and they have to face the darkness. We get to learn more about our dark mystery man Tirian as well. Things heat up as well and there is mm scenes. It ends on a clify.... Isa will have to face the council and figure out how to open the gate again. Exciting 3rd book ahead. Second book is a definite must read.
