I see that I am clearly in the minority regarding this book. Well it's just how things go, you either love a book or you don't, but I must say that I really did not have enough patience for this story.

First off it felt as if it would have been better as two books, it all just felt so slow and clunky, like one long Yawn. And secondly I couldn't stand the leading ladies they just irritated me no end and I can't tell you why, especially since I usually really enjoy Scarlett's books. Oh well better ...more

Um well it was alright(not), i got suprised when it was two MC in this book and we also got to read from both of their PoV. So each and every chapter it changed to the other MC.
I can honestly say that i didn't care much about Kimbers PoV , i thought she was kind a boring you can sort of say and i didn't connect with her. Gwen was a lot better than kimber, i enjoyed her chapters/PoV , she was funny , snarky, bitchy and a lil wild. I prefer MC that can snap back, ya know what i mean.

I received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
I previously read what it seems was the first draft of this story in the Magic and Alphas anthology, so I was able to pinpoint all the ways they changed it and... boy, did it go another way.
Starting with the first chapter, Gwyn's storyline is less bloodthirsty... but I still think all the characters there are assholes. The authors need to go a long way to redeem them.
Kimber's storyline was new and perfect. It adds sweetness to ...more

Oh yes! Yes! Yes!

Having already read the slightly shorter version I was so excited to see what would be different and what would be explained more. I am so excited with the way this worked out. Even though I knew certain events would be taking place, I was still moved to tears when it happened. Overall it leaves me dying to see what is going to happen next.

This book series is amazing! The books go through two POVs, Gwen (vampire) and Kimber (druid). The whole time reading this book I was SO into Gwen's story. She is seriously a badass.
