Good beginning of the story, left us with questions regarding several things and a couple theories that I want to know the answer to - will continue reading. It was a little short, so I don't have much by way of impressions except that I like how the characters are beginning to develop.

On to book two.

I greatly enjoyed this book! I found the main character to be quite likable. I really liked seeing a main character that is somewhat sheltered but still manages to have her own independence and not completely lost on how to take care of herself. The World the book is set in is interesting and gives me the feeling of wanting to know more about it. I liked the different characters portrayed through out and was glad to not cringe at any of the dialogue! There are a couple of hot scenes that definit ...more

What a fantastic start to a new series. From the get go, I found myself investing in the characters...okay...and lusting after a few as well. On top of the characters that draw you in, you have a budding resistance, demons, and a separate species of humanoids that have sworn to protect the weak humans. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for some scie ...more

This book blew me away! It was completely different then what I normally read, and I took a chance on it. I am so glad that I did! It was different in a fantastic way. It wasn't completely "out there" for me, just different enough to keep me intrigued.

The plot was a little bit of everything - Tiny bit of romance (blink and you'll miss it. It was mostly more of a build up.), mystery, suspense, rebellion and action. It all kept me turning the pages franticly, desperate to find out what happens.

Cool new quick read

This was a really cool quick read. I like the idea of the demons, their souls bonds and everything. The characters seems great, wish the story was longer but all the more reason to get book two! I hate her dad and know he's up to no good, can't wait to find out what it is!

I have read this book twice now. Once when it came out in the anthology Falling for Them and again by itself last night. A big warning however…. Make sure you don’t have to get up early the next morning. Both times I read this book I read it straight through. ☺ Evie is a strong female lead even if she is still growing and learning about herself. This book has amazing twists and turns in the plots that you don’t always see coming. I for one have no idea how the “issue” that results in the end of ...more
