What Members Thought
When picking up books on a potentially controversial subject, I like to take a quick look at the author’s resume. Woodward seemed like a good candidate to tell a story of a very dividing figure like Trump without bias, zeal, and hysteria that I so dislike in reporting. And he delivered. Fear is cold, hard-fact journalism that does not aim to ridicule the current US President, but rather offer a faithful account of the first two years in office and let the reader draw the conclusions.

In this day and age of horrible journalism, it is refreshing to see Bob Woodward's reporting. About of a third of the book is actually source referenced. He reports on the chaos of the administration and the games people in it are playing, to try and work around the President's behavior. It seems a sad state of the world that any of this is happening, but Woodward's reporting is making sense of the chaos reported by various news sources.

This was well written. I decided to listen to this after his reelection just to refresh myself what we’re about to face again. I really think everyone who voted for him this time around should’ve listened to it before voting. I want to listen to the other books but I don’t think I’m mentally prepared.
