My son is actually going to Clemson University as I write this-which made this book both a learning and TERRIFYING experience for me. We all want our children to have a great time in college-as well as get a decent education,this story not only tells the story of a disfunctional family life-even after a terrible accident befalls the child-but also shows the struggle of wanting to so desperately belong. I think it was very brave of Brad Land to write this book. It's obviously a freshman attempt -- you get the feeling he really needed to get this off his chest, and it's a bit disjointed -- but it has soul and power.
