Fantastic historical fiction. So sad. I appreciated the amount of research that was poured into this book.
This was excellent on audio.
I just finished reading Burial Rites and I can't stop thinking about this book. I wish I could give it 5 stars, but there was so much of Agnes's thoughts and dreams that were just dreary and did not add much to the story IMO. Perhaps her prolonged thoughts and dreams (her sad upbringing, babbling about ravens) could have been interlaced with the story more. It is maddening that we had to wait until the very end to get the complete story about what happened.
