What I do remember that this was one of the first English books I read and that I was really shocked by this and always thought of it as a very good book.

Overall this was a good read. The beginning was very interesting to me in that you get excerps from the killer speaking on his behalf and how he views his world, which was interesting to me because other crime books I have read the killers don’t usually say why they did what they did and people get left to wonder. What Leonard Lake and Charles Ng did to these victims was very cruel and sad. Reading the trial part of the book made me get very upset at how our justice system can be taken advantage ...more

I thought it was a decently written book. The author spent quite a bit of time on the trial, true, but considering how long after the crimes it took before Charles Ng actually went to trial and how he drug things out as long as he could with motion after useless motion...the trial and all of its intricacies was a big part of the story.
