I didn't expect to like this book at all. But about a fourth of the way into it, I loved it. Clary and Jace. Wow, what a pairing. And then OMG, the climactic scenes - amazing.
It's smart, funny and sexy all the makings of a good novel. Did I mention quick witted dialogue - something that immediately catches my attention and makes me plow through the novel at a rapid pace.

I loved this book but I don't think I like the relationship part. I really didn't want it to work out that way. I loved Jace and I have to say he is my favorite character. I didn't like Alec or Isabelle at first but by the end of the book they grew on me. I liked Simon at first but he screwed up and I don't really care as much for him at the end. I can't wait to start the next book and see what I think of everybody in the end.

This was like a guilty pleasure. I'm not really into the whole vampire/werewolf/angel/demon phenom. But this was a nice mix of everything without being too dark. I thought the plot was well paced and the characters held enough interest...till the end. The twist at the end (which is predictable)was icky in a luke/leia sorta way. And difuses any interest you may have in the characters or their relationships. If I read the next book it will be as guilty as this one--maybe a good book for the beach.

I liked this book, although, I did not like the way the relationship between Clary and Jace played out.
for anyone who liked twilight series, this is a must. it is crazy how the 2 snap/click.
this book was really good but almost predictable worth reading
this series is amazing!! my fave ya books ever! love love love!
City of Bones is Still one of my favorite YA books to read.
