In this second installment of Cassandra clare's mortal instrument series, Clary finds her self swept even deeper into her mothers past and the world of Shadowhunting. I don't really want to say much for fear of giving the story away but the book was really great and kept you on your toes even at the end of the story! It's all about Clary and relationships with Simon and Jace, and her thrilling yet terrifying quest of unmasking her mothers' past and stopping her father Valentine from taking over.

The love triangle looks just like the one in her Harry Potter fanfic, but still a compelling read! Much better than the first book!
