I really want to give this book 4.5 or even 4.75 stars. An astonishing improvement over City of Bones, which was already pretty darn good.
The characters we met in COB are really well developed here. We get to know more of their back stories during a thrilling urban fantasy plot.
I read the last page and realized that I have to wait for the third and final installment of this iteration of the Mortal Instruments. And I was saddened that I'd have to leave this charcters for a while.

The brother/sister love triangle is still icky. I assume she's going to resolve that in the third book...and Jace hopefully won't be her brother.

I am so glad that I started reading this series after the first 3 books were written because the author left us wanting more and I was happy i didn't have to wait for the next book to be written. Again an excellent story and the charaters are lovable and you are rooting for them to make it.
