Shelves: loveable-characters, ridiculously-hot-guys, owned, shelf-for-dimitri-and-his-sexiness

I didnt LOVE this book... but it was pretty good. The authour tended to waffle on a little bit, so it felt like the story was shorter than it actually looked. But otherwise I did like the story. I adored the kickass female heroine and I think I want to marry Dimitri.

Overall it was a 3.5 out of 5 rather than a four, but since it doesnt give ".5" of a star on goodreads, I may as well give it the benefit of the doubt. Four stars it is!

Before I start, I have to say Richelle Meads Writing is wonderful. The book was nicely written just enough details nothing over the top, and great transitions. I love when each author has their opinions on what a Vampire is. I thought Richelle's idea of Vampire was awesome. I loved this book... At the end. In the beginning I wasn't hooked, but I liked it at the end. I thought that sometimes the conversations between Rose and Demitri were a joke. I had just finished the Twilight series and was doubtful about finding another book just as good.. Richelle Meads book Vampire Academy is awesome! Enjoyed it! Not the typical vampire book. I love the social classifications: Moroi, dhampirs, strigoi. Strong characters too. Also admire how it narrates.

Loved it and cant wait to read the next book ;)
