I enjoyed reading Vampire Academy. I started getting into vampires when I read The Historian and, like most every other teenage girl, Twilight. Vampire Academy was surprisingly better than I was expecting. It really got up there with Twilight, in my opinion. Rose and Lissa are great characters and Rose's selflessness and stubborn/smartass streaks are a pleasure to read. Let's not forget Dimitri.
