I knew thanks to my friend that there were extreme parallels between this series and Twilight, I just wasn't as prepared for that as I thought I was.
Besides the whole "vampire falls in love with a human" deal, there's also the fact that Sookie can read minds except for Bill's. And there's a rogue group of three vampires who are trying to make life more difficult for those vampires that live like humans. That's the plot to Twilight, isn't it?

I have been debating weather or not to purchase this series in the set of four. I finally decided that I would get the first book (it was on sale for $2.00) and figured I would be hooked after and run out to buy the rest of the series. How wrong I was:-( I am a huge fan of the supernatural romance series books but I was extremely disappointed with this book. It took me forever to get through because it was sooooo boring!
