Mi dispiace parecchio e probabilmente sto per dire un'eresia per tutti i letterati illuminati, ma ciò che maggiormente mi ha impedito di apprezzare davvero il romanzo è stato lo stile di Saramago. Ha reso la mia esperienza personale di questa lettura ostica, e pur aspettando la promessa svolta dove si comincia ad abituarsi al suo modo di narrare e le cose cambiano, quello che ho raggiunto io é stata una certa indifferenza, un'assenza di piacere per la lettura. I think I'm just a sucker for Saramago's writing style. I loved this book - I found the stream of consciousness narrative compelling and fast paced and the story to be thoughtful and interesting. I sort of predicted the ending, but still found it quite satisfying. This may be my favorite book so far this year.
