What Members Thought
The first half is a glorious burst of cinematic meta madness, what with the Faustian swindles, fleeing naked theater attendees, and severed heads. The second half is somehow wearisome, despite featuring a witch smashing an apartment block and a midnight satanic ball. I never became emotionally attached to any of the characters, but Bulgakov can turn an epic scene.
