I heard all the fuss about this trilogy when the movie came out. I know the author is atheist, British, and it won all sorts of awards. That being said, I don't get what all the fuss is about. Yes-it does seem to be anti-organized religion, but I have not been offended by anything in it. Maybe the anti-God stuff is in later books? Anyway, I had to get used to this new world pretty quick. Maybe British people have larger vocabularies at a young age because I do not see how children could read and ...more
