This is my favourite of the female comedian books thus far - which makes sense because I think I'm most familiar with Tina Fey and I've always enjoyed what she does. I thought her comments on motherhood were both funny and spot on. Plus now I want to go back and rewatch 30 Rock with the husband. ...more

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Tina Fey and she did a fantastic job as a narrator - I don't think anyone could have done it better, since she is so ever present in people's minds. Listening to the audiobook is definitely the way to go with this.

BUT I really didn't enjoy the book that much. It was just okay, and honestly, if it wasn't for the fact that I'm hard wired to finish a book I've started, I would have ditched it. I think the same thing as I did for the book by another SNL humori

I had first played the audiobook in my car two years ago when I went on a short drive - I did get to the halfway point before I had to return the book. I remember enjoying the b ...more

Funny, though I do think that parts of it dragged. I really loved the chapters that went behind-the-scenes at SNL and 30 Rock; not so much some of the childhood/family chapters.

Also, I thought it was kind of adorable that her entire last chapter was basically her agonizing over whether or not to have a 2nd kid and agonizing over the fact that if she did, she'd have to delay that season's production of 30 Rock, considering the fact that Tina DID end up having a 2nd kid (and 30 Rock's premiere wa

"Bossypants" written by Tina Fey was so funny and a quick read. It was interesting to hear how 30 Rock came about and the experience behind playing Sarah Palin on SNL. ...more
