I loved the first part of this, from the point of view of five-year-old Robert. It's not realistic, but it's charming.
The rest is an unfortunate rant about mothers of all kinds - possessive ones, neglectful ones, those who love their children but neglect their husbands - and how they are to blame for male rage, impotence, affairs, addiction, and any other bad choices that a man makes in his life.
