My gut says 2 stars but it can I give this book, which everyone seems to rave about, 2 stars? Real question, though: How does a book with a premise this good go NOWHERE? I know, I know — it’s *character driven * but that shouldn’t preclude actual plot. I could not wait to finish, could not make myself care.
