Very interesting story about the battles between good and evil. Can you outsmart it? Can you really truly be one or the other? This book takes you to a small village in the middle of nowhere and presents the choice of wealth over life and how far you will or will not go for one or the other.

مع اني لست بقارئه سريعه لكن استطعت ان انجز هذا الكتاب في اقل من ساعتين
الكمال لله وحده لكن هذا العمل الادبي الرائع قد نال استحساني كعادته باولو كويليو دائما ما يدهشني لقدرته في الغوص داخل النفس البشريه بهذه الطريه و دائما ما يجعلني اتأمل و يتركني لايام بعد كل كتاب اتذكر احداث الكتاب اظن ان اثر هذا الكتاب سيدوم اطول من مجرد ايام
لقد كشف لي عن طبيعه النفس البشريه المحيره هذه الحقيقه المجرده باختصار بداخلنا ملاك و شيطان

It seems I'm in the minority on this one, but I found this book sort of silly. It reads like a morality play, but I didn't think the exploration of the moral difficulties of the town was all that interesting nor was it all that deep. The premise is fairly straightforward: A stranger shows up in a small town and, through a somewhat complicated method, tells the town that they'll get a bunch of money if someone is murdered. Okay, up to a point.
