Scottish policeman John Mackenzie is sent to Spain to escort home one of Europe's most wanted, Jack Cleland, who has been unmasked by the Spanish police during a routine visit. After the police arrive at his home, Cleland accidentally shoots his own pregnant girlfriend, and for this loss he blames one of the officers, Cristina Sanchez Pradell. She and Mackenzie must bring Cleland to justice to prevent him carrying out his threat of killing her and all her family.
