This book deserves three stars only because it allowed me to discover an aspect of World War II, the neutrality of Turkey, that I ignored. It's not that the plot wasn´t interesting, but the final result is a bit boring and there is also to say that the Turks are almost portrayed as superheroes while the Jews as the poor creatures to save, not to mention all the wickedness of the other. The characters seemed to me in some cases stereotyped and in others lacked depth.
