I thoroughly enjoyed this. I had seen it many times on one of the deals emails, but studiously ignored picking it up. Until, that is, it was recommended by Valerie, a Goodreads friend. Goodreads friends are so good for letting you wander outside your normal reading path!

It was a simpler time, and the country was looking for some relief and hope. Belle Benchley, director of the San Diego Zoo was hoping to provide that with two young giraffes, whose cross country journey is chronicled in this book.
