The Vanishing Half has two parts, which means the first half of the book is wonderful, well written and totally engaging. I couldn't put it down. The second half of the book is, well, a let down. The writing continues to be excellent, and the characters, interesting. The problem for me was, it didn't make sense; it seemed incongruous with the premise.
