Great book, totally different from Station 11 (which I also loved) but still a two day of a very enjoyable reading. Intertwined lives across more than 20 years, brothers, lovers, places and stories, most of all stories, made mostly of regrets.
I found totally fascinating the way the author succeed in putting everything all together in the end even if it was all there, to begin with....

hmm. well... didn't love this, which was disappointing. the narrator was terrific and did a wonderful job with the characters and stories, and there was - for me - an ethereal quality to the writing. yet, it didn't come together for me. i really struggled to find a way “IN” to the story, because the characters were all so opportunistic and morally challenged - which, you would think, gives lots of room for character development in interesting ways. these kinds of broken characters can be so good ...more

More like 2.5 but rounding down because I can't think of who I would recommend this book to - which is what I think of as being 3 (or more) stars. I was just bored through most of this book - and a day later, I've pretty much forgotten the plot. The characters are forgettable, the plot is weak, and ... just don't bother. ...more
