Wow! I'm not sure I have any words for how this book made me feel but I know right now I'm emotionally spent. I stayed up late but couldn't finish it so finished it this morning. What a story!
Although I missed the setting of Three Pines and the crazy cast of characters there, this story was a nice change of page and I really did love how Gamache's family played a more pivotal role in the story. penny takes her main characters to paris in this outing and while it was enjoyable, i really missed her cast of supporting characters in three pines; they add enjoyable goofiness to the stories and life in the vilage is a huge draw for me in reading this series.
Formidable! This is one of the more intricately plotted books in this series. While it's almost all set in Paris instead of Three Pines, it's a cracking story.
