I thought this book was well done. I wasn't sure what to expect from it but I found it interesting and emotional. in the beginningnthe chapters felt more like short stories rather than continuations of each other and movement of the story which I found an interesting way to tell it.
I actually listened to it in the car which was not a great idea at the end since it definitely was not a feel good story. well worth the listen though. ...more

As a person who loves books and the written word I could not help but be completely taken in by this book. It is both beautiful and heartbreaking. There were certain lines in this book that just grabbed me by the heart and squeezed.
I must say i really enjoyed this book. I read it because it was really popular and I think Liesel is really brave. I also admire her for wanting to learn to read better.
