It's been a few years since I've really read anything by Christopher Moore, so I was a little worried that I'd outgrown his writing style. But, I figured it was Christmas, I needed a Christmas-y book, and this one had been on my shelves for way too long, so I grabbed it! And luckily for me, Moore's silly, immature humor still appeals! Christopher Moore's book are more than a little twisted--heck, they're knitted into strange byways. I love it.

This is my second Christopher Moore book, and the first I've listened to as an audiobook. His zany characters and storylines work extremely well in the audio format - you don't have to listen with full attention, which made this excellent in the background while doing household chores, baby care, and cooking. An enjoyable, sarcastic Christmas story set in Pine Cove, the same setting as the other Moore book I read -- Practical Demonkeeping.
