This is the second instance for me where the book is NOT better than the movie. Maybe its because I grew up watching this movie and didn't get to read the book beforehand.
It's not a bad book per se, I was just left a little underwhelmed. I think what did it was the long winded introduction and the "personal" narrative, it was just boring to me. On the plus side, the best scenes in the movie were taken verbatim from the book. ...more
