Sobbed at the end. I never do that anymore. This one got into my system and is going to stick for awhile. I should probably review it but I need time to think about it first.
this was such an interesting and different read. i loved the premise and fowler's style.

A book about family, about language, about human nature, about secrets, about memories.
To recount the plot is to involve pages of spoilers, but the story of siblings Rosemary, Fern, and Lowell will remain with me for a long time. The things we do for family and the things families do to us! Oh, I left out one of my favorite characters--the ventriloquist's dummy Madame DeFarge.

A truly unique story made accessible by an engaging and witty narrator, but it is Fowler's excellent writing that makes this book 5-star worthy.
