There was nothing that was pulling me in, wanting me to spend time with it, and the two storylines did not mesh well for me - seemed like two very separate stories that were trying too hard to come together. Left me stunned and heartbroken. Probably best book I have read -- or will read -- this year.
One of my favorites of the year. It was so satisfying to have two narrators describe the same events from their different time periods, and interesting to get to explore how time and perspective can have a big impact on perception.
Painful, beautifully and cleverly written, gripping, above average, will seek more of her books.
