an EARTH SHATTERING dystopian speculative fiction. (pun intended)
Will there be a movie coming out about this? Film industry will make lots of money if yes, and if all the CG effects don't suck. But imagine all the actors who could be in this, among them Idris Elba, and any/all of the awesome folks who acted in Black Panther. Stories like these can make Hollywood go from boring and pale to something actually interesting again.
But it's So SAD!!! Angry tears everywhere.

So, so good. I figured out the point-of-view stuff partially, about halfway through. I love the way the book was crafted to slowly reveal its secrets. I loved all the characters and found the orogeny idea unique and fascinating. I can't wait to read the next two books and find out what's up with the moon.

10 stars. SO GOOD. So very, very good.
The audiobook was brilliantly voice acted by Robin Miles (this was more than narration). I’m about to go check out more books read by her.
I should note that the last 2 books I read before this were SO not suited to dystopian-America pandemic times. (The Cabin at the End of the World and Survivor Song by Paul Tremblay). When I got the notice that this was finally ready for check out, I heaved a sigh. Great. Another apocalypse. Just what I’m in the m ...more
