Silently and Very Fast has been nominated for a Nebula award, and it deserves it and more.
I finished this late last night, and spent the last pages and the following 30 minutes in tears. The story is moving, it is terrible, it’s beautiful and sad. It is so many things. It is so big.

I'm so glad this short book/novella was recommended as a group read in one of my GR groups. I never would have found this book or this author otherwise.

An absolutely amazing and gorgeously written work. Told from the perspective of an AI as it comes into itself as a being, this book explores what it means to dream, to feel, to just be. Elefsis describes herself and her world through the use of the dreamscape, metaphors and stories. She is the other and yet wholly herself. Just an incredibly stunning book that sticks with the reader long after the last page is turned.
