What Members Thought
A very moving and unforgettable story. The sad part is that these events could have very well happened. The events were so intense that at times I just had to put the book down rather than be consumed by anger and sadness. Ms. Blum's research into WWII Germany is impeccable, and she is a storyteller extraordinaire. I recommended this book to my mother who grew up in occupied France during WWII, and she has also been unable to put the book down. It is definitely a page-turner from start to finish
