Once I realized that the author was intentionally overusing metaphors, I thoroughly enjoyed this book about a lonely man trying to adjust to living after the loss of his wife. This book was both humorous and tragic.

What a wonderful book

This book is wonderful. The chapters are like mini stories, and come together beautifully. The characters are well developed and completely engaging. You will love this kind, gentle and sweetly funny.

I loved this book...the way the story slowly unfolded...loved the characters, especially Ove. Would definitely recommend as a great book to read. For anyone.
