History lives!
I first became aware of the Dreyfus affair by reading a bit of biography of Emile Zola. I freely admit not paying very close attention, only that he was actively involved in some way in opposition to the Government. As I understood it at the time, in doing so, he risked his professional reputation. I remembered the title J'accuse!, but never looked any further.

An excellent thriller and historical fiction book.
I have been intrigued by the Dreyfus affair for a long time, but never really delved into it. This novel gives an very detailed overview of the Dreyfus affair.
We read how a rather small, at first sight maybe unimportant problem in the military developed into a big story that kept the eyes of the Western world on France.
