I Enjoyed this book very much! The characters were very interesting and the plot intriguing. I would like to read more from this author.

I liked this book a great deal, but it didn’t have the emotional affect on me that so many others talk about. I didn’t need a box of tissues. Fair enough, going in with the expectation of crying may well be a guarantee that I won’t, because I’m prepared for it.

I read it for a new library run book club, which was interesting - though cutting discussion off at a set time feels awkward. Naturally, I hadn’t quite finished the book - I’m finding it very interesting to read a book with the impression

Worthy of its appearance on 'Best of the Year' lists, All the Light We Cannot See is an unusual World War II drama that follows two characters as their lives are impacted by the changing tides of the war. The story moves backwards and forwards in time, which maintains a satisfying tension throughout the book. ...more

While the writing was fantastic, I just didn't ever really get engaged and into the story. I found it hard to connect with and care about the characters. So in the end, not a bad book by any means, but just not one that did much for me. ...more

Overall I liked this book. I really liked the character of Marie Laurie because not many books have a blind person as a main character and show a person of disability is a realistic light. I enjoyed her story very much. The story of Werner and Jutta wasn't as clear. Although, I did like Jutta. The book was broken up into eleven parts or I guess they could have been chapters. Then you had titled sections in those parts. The transition between characters was confusing. I had a hard time following ...more
