sicuramente un capolavoro epico, ma troppo troppo lungo e che si potrebbe riassumere nelle storie di tutti coloro che hanno ruotato intorno ad una pallina da baseball, meglio di Libra che mi era piaciuto ancora meno, ma sicuramente inferiore a Running Dog che invece mi è piaciuto molto.

I appreciate that this is an excellent book, bringing the days of the Cold War to life through some peripherally involved characters and tracing the history of a baseball: a slice of American life from the early 1950s to the 1990s.

I'm writing this short review probably 10 years after I read Underworld and fully intend to someday revisit and hopefully modify my three star review upwards. I've seen a comment on a friends review about this NOT being the book to start reading DeLillo with. WELL...it was for me and I think the comment was very astute (Thank you -Krok Zero). I found myself sucked into this tale from page one. It may have benefited from more editing, it was a bit long-winded. But I found for the most part it added to the mood of the book.
