I have had this book for a long time but for some reason never got around to reading it. The premise is interesting for those who are into British literature. I also know many people who love this series. That said, it did take me awhile to get into the story. There is a lot of world building the author gets into and it is confusing at times. Thursday Next is a SpecOps Literatec, but she also helps out with other numbered operatives. She is also a veteran of the Crimean war with Russia. Her main ...more

Inventive premise, but average writing and ending is a hasty mess. Writers, do you not realize how important endings are? Take your time with them.
