Adventurous and fun! The perfect two words to describe this book. Always building momentum and getting quirkier as it goes. The story of Thursday Next is wonder. She is a strong yet emotional lead character. She has a crazy uncle and a father who comes in and out of her life. The reimagined England is fun. After reading through some reviews I was a little wary of picking this book up but I'm glad I did. Thursday Next is a great character. She should be a role model for all young girls. I admit some of the plot devices take some bending of the imagination but if you go with where the book wants to take you rather than hoping for answers to questions that were never posed you can really get into the book.

I LOVED this book. It made me feel so geeky, in such a good way. The plot was awesome, as were the little details (like division one croquet!). I can't wait to read the rest of the series, as well as Shades of Grey.
