This is my first Jasper Fforde book, but it won't be my last. I found the book clever and amusing and quite enjoyed the literary twists in the background. I'll be excited to read more about Thursday Next's adventures in the rest of the series and I'll probably also give the Nursery Crimes series a shot. If you like books and if you like mysteries that are a little quircky, give Eyre Affair a try. I could even say if you like Jane Eyre or Science Fiction give Eyre Affair a try. Jasper Fforde takes a very unique concept and makes it work. He combines all these elements and more and puts them together to create a story that will blow your socks off.
