From the beginning to the very end, this had me captivated and glued to the pages. While starting this one immediately upon finishing The Luminaries gave me a jarring start due to the vastly stripped down use of language by Lahiri, I thoroughly and absolutely enjoyed this one. I suppose I would remove one star as the characters are at times quite flat/one dimensional and not as richly developed as they could be. (I'm sad to see that I'm done this though.)
