I'm giving up on this one. There is such a thing as too long and too detailed. Yes, some of the descriptions are fantastic and so well written. But this book is just so depressing and going nowhere and SLOWLY. I dislike EVERY character. I have so many great books to read, that I'm annoyed this has sapped me of time and energy. I hate that I am abandoning a book 300 pages in, as I haven't ever done that before. Usually if I'm not sucked in by 100 pages, I'm outta there. The whole Vegas part of th ...more
