What Members Thought
I really enjoyed the short stories in this collection and it was interesting to reread the excerpts from Herland. I was much less interested in the essays excerpted here. The author was clearly courageous to have written them at the time they were written, but they did not age as well as her short stories or her novel. I'm glad this collection was selected as a group read for one of my groups, because otherwise I never would have thought to pick it up.

I am not usually a short story fan, but I loved these stories. I found them highly readable and addictive. They were different enough and used a variety of voices to keep the reader engaged throughout. I cherished my time with these gems.
