Ok...So I was actually looking for a book that I can read and slowly devour over the week. But what happened with this book was that, the moment I started reading it I found it incredibly hard to put it down. (I even skipped my dinner.) Being a difficult child myself, I could very well relate to Christopher, the autistic child who found it easy to befriend Maths than People, and whose only fault was that he was born different.

I liked this book better than I thought I would. I think the author has real insight into the mind of an autistic boy. I work with children with specials needs and I could see some of my students thinking like the main character, Christopher. I think Christopher was pretty smart in his own way. He was able to draw detailed maps and do math problems that I couldn't do. I think the main character gave children with autism a voice they never had before.
