This book takes the reader on a crazy ride as Raoul Duke and his attorney, Dr Gonzo, go to Las Vegas. It's a wild, humorous trip through the 1960-70s drug culture since the duo are popping drugs constantly while they are supposed to be working as journalists. I am really at a loss for what to say about this book. I am glad that I watched the film that was based off this book first. The events that took place in the book were so random and hard to follow. You didn't really know who to believe, either, since the two main people were on drugs practically the entire time. I like the way the author writes, but I was just so over the focus on being high on drugs that I was ready for it to end.
