Crooked letter, crooked letter is a great mystery/suspense book,I don't think that is what makes it a great book. It is how well written the book is and how it delves into all types of social issues including betrayal, parent/child relationships, friendships, prejudice, deception, responsibility, and redemption. Phenomenal book. Loved it loved it loved it -- the kind of book where I almost wished my slooooow train from the Bronx was longer (almost!) so I could read more.
