Phenomenal. I have a soft spot for dystopias, and this one is before all of them. The author creates a fantastic picture of a world future. It's hard to believe that this book is as old as it is. The author envisions petroleum-based food products, all wrapped in the One State complete with total control and conformity. I can't believe this book isn't assigned in school during the same unit where we read Brave New World and 1984. I can definitely see the ways that this book influenced both of tho
